War 2 Box Office Collection Day 14: Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR Film Inches Towards ₹300 Crore Mark

Bollywood’s spy universe has found its latest blockbuster in War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. After a thunderous opening and two weeks of sustained audience interest, the high-octane action thriller is now on the verge of crossing the ₹300 crore milestone in India. Despite facing tough competition from Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which released on the same date, War 2 has managed to hold strong and carve out its own massive success story.

Strong Start, Steady Journey

The film opened to an extraordinary response, collecting a massive ₹52 crore on Day 1 alone. Over the next two weeks, it continued to add to its tally, even though daily numbers saw a dip after the extended holiday weekend. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film earned around ₹1.85 crore on Wednesday (Day 14) till 8:00 PM. On both Monday and Tuesday, the film collected ₹2.75 crore each, showing a consistent weekday trend.

With this, War 2’s 14-day domestic total stands at ₹229.1 crore nett. By the end of Thursday, the film is widely expected to hit the ₹300 crore gross milestone in India, proving the star power of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR along with the appeal of slick spy action dramas.

Competing Head-to-Head with Rajinikanth’s Coolie

The box office journey of War 2 is even more interesting because of its clash with Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Released on August 14, both films benefited from a four-day extended weekend. However, while Coolie continues to enjoy strong collections in the South, War 2 has been a dominant force in the Hindi belt.

Currently, Coolie’s 14-day India total stands at ₹267.08 crore, slightly ahead of War 2 in domestic numbers. But when it comes to audience buzz and online chatter, the Hrithik-Jr NTR starrer seems to have an edge among younger audiences and multiplex circuits.

Occupancy Trends

On Day 14, War 2 registered an overall Hindi occupancy of 10.64%, which breaks down as follows:

  1. Morning Shows: 6.63%
  2. Afternoon Shows: 11.85%
  3. Evening Shows: 13.44%

While these numbers are lower than the film’s opening week, the movie still manages to pull in viewers, especially during evening shows, which remain the strongest.

Worldwide Box Office Performance

Beyond India, War 2 has also done impressive business globally. By the end of Day 13, the film had grossed ₹347.5 crore worldwide. Out of this, ₹76 crore came from overseas markets, while the India gross stood at ₹271.5 crore.

If current trends continue, the movie is likely to reach the ₹400 crore global milestone within the coming days, cementing its place as one of 2025’s biggest releases.

The Road Ahead

With audiences still flocking to theatres and positive word of mouth sustaining momentum, War 2 is set to continue its strong run. Analysts believe that while weekday collections may remain modest, the upcoming weekend could give it another boost, potentially pushing the worldwide total closer to the half-billion mark.

For Hrithik Roshan, War 2 adds another feather to his action-hero legacy, while Jr NTR’s entry into Bollywood has been welcomed with enthusiasm. Together, they have delivered a mass entertainer that blends style, thrill, and box office firepower.
